Registered on behalf of my eldest child, need back eventually for my youngest.
"All of Daisy's friends in the Alphabet Club, Amy, Bella, Chloe and Emily, have had sleepovers for their birthdays. Daisy has a dilemma. She'd love to have a sleepover too, but then she'd have to let her friends meet her sister...."

This is the first Jacqueline Wilson book I've read and I loved it! The story of Daisy and her friends in the Alphabet club deals with all the issues a gang of girls face as they plan their birthday's and try to decide who really is their bestest friend! Looking forward to reading some more of JW's books.
Passing on to Loopy1 now ....

The book arrived safely with me this morning, thanks. The envelope can head back to torialouise because I'm sure I'm due to send her a book.
The book itself I shall sit down and enjoy in a quiet moment sometime soon, then send back to WistfulDragon. Thanks guys!

I really enjoyed this book - I'm surprised to find I'd forgotten to journal it, because it actually made it as far as an envelope to return to WistfulDragon, but then another JW book turned up so I delayed posting until I'd finished both...
I find it difficult to know which hat to wear when reading JW, whether to read them as a child or as an adult, so I usually end up reading them both ways. With this one, as a child, I could really appreciate the feelings of the girls, as they struggle to decide who's best friends with who. As an adult, when I read the part where the younger girls were doing the disabled girl's hair I could only think of the feelings in the mum's head at that point!
My favourite line was something about I didn't know mums could have their bellybuttons pierced and wear jewellery there. (not that I have, but it's a typical child's thought!).

Thanks for sending all the books back Loopy1 - if you see any others on my shelves you wish to borrow, holler! I'm glad both you and Toria liked this one.
