A young woman in love with a man torn between his love for her and his incorrigible womanizing; one of his mistresses and her humbly faithful lover—these are the two couples whose story is told in this masterful novel. It is so, so hard for me to let go of books I've hoped to read but I am just not connecting with this one. Ballycumber is a place I'd like to visit in Ireland and sometimes, it's a book I'd like to read. I've had this book for too long. It's time for the book to find its next reader.
