Eines der Bücher aus der Matthew Scudder-Serie, die ich sehr gut finde. Der Originaltitel ist "A Stab In The Dark".

Im Gartenmarkt Dehner vor der Tür standen einige große Kamingrills toskanischer Art, und statt Fleisch stand dieses zierliche Buch angelehnt an den Rost.

Mittlerweile habe ich das Buch gelesen: es ist ein schmales Taschenbuch, schnell, spannend und trotz des Themas (Serienmord an Frauen) auch aus weiblicher Sicht gut zu lesen.
Psychologisch differenziert und glaubhaft ausmodulierte Personen, kein ungebrochenes Gut/Böse, eine überraschende Auflösung - alles, was ein guter Krimi braucht.
