Judging from the cover, it's not my type of book. Let me know how it was!

I have to admit that this book has an unappealing cover, but the weird boy with the piercings and the strange hair isn't like that at the end of the book. This was a faubulous book, one of the best books I have ever read, not to mention its Newbery Honor. I love how the Applewhites are homeschooling themselves, and Jake, the weird kid on the cover, finds out who he really his, and what gives him joy in life. Each Applewhite is talented at something different, but it was amazing how they came together and had passion when they helped Randolph Applewhite with his production of the Sound of Music. I wouldn't want to give away the rest of the story, so if you want to find out more, go find a copy of this book. And never judge a book by its cover, because this book had a bad one.
