cover:
Reginald Iolanthe Perrin is sick to death with selling exotic ices at Sunshine Desserts. He's fed up with his boss C. J. who delights in making his life hell. And he's had enough of his eager young assistants who think everything is 'super'.
So begins Reggie's battle against consumerism. Driven to desperation by the rate race and the unpunctuality of Britain's trains, Reggie's small eccentricities escalate to the extreme.
Until, finally, he leaves behind the unacceptable face of capitalism altogether. Driving off in a motorised jelly, and creating the world's biggest loganberry slick on his way, he dumps his clothes on a Dorset beach and sets of for new adventures...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reggie Perrin is fed up with his mundane, treadmill life & desperately wants to break away, but I think, ultimately, he discovers that wherever you go, you take yourself with you. Funny & sad, clever & witty, eccentric & banal. Reading this made me want to see the BBC series again. Poor Reggie.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Sent to gunmarga for the January 2017 book-a-month offer.
Thank you catsalive. The book was in my postbox today.
Edit 24 July 2017: Reginald Perrin feels very frustrated about life. He hates his boss and wants to make him some bad jokes. It always pops up strange words in his mind and sometimes he happens to tell them. He is feeling bad and is thinking about ending this life to start over. But then money is needed. This is a novel that has a lot of funky events. Good, fun and entertaining. I liked it.
