2 journalers for this copy...
One of the classics of Hawaiian literature, compiled by Hawaii's last king...whose official name as king was Kalakaua, not David Kalakaua. Nowadays it's correctly spelled Kalākaua with a macron over the second a, but in the king's time diacritical marks were often not used in print - perhaps because most people knew how to pronounce Hawaiian without them!
I have a little more info about the king in the journal entry for the first copy of this book on my shelf.
I think this particular copy came from Croyd's stash.

Headed to South Carolina to help stock a new UBCZ...or maybe to be set free elsewhere; who knows?
I'll count this release for RockDg9's The The Challenge.
