Chocolat (Film Tie-in)

'When an exotic stranger, Vianne Rocher, arrives in the French village of Lansquenet and opens a chocolate boutique directly opposite the church, Father Reynaud identifies her as a serious danger to his flock - especially as it is the beginning of Lent, the traditional season of self-denial. War is declared as the priest denounces the newcomer's wares as the ultimate sin.'
I decided to read this book after falling in love with the film. My three favourite things in one go - books, chocolate and France - what could be better. The book was just as amazing as the film - and it doesn't hurt to have Johnny Depp on the front cover!

Thank you kate !
I didn't see the movie. In this book I like the fairy-tale. I would say that Joanne Harris describes the rural France as many many years ago, or perhaps not...
On its way to somebody somewhere...
Received this book as part of the First Sentences Virtual Book Box. Nice surprise! I've wanted to read this book ever since I saw the movie. The book is always better, right? ;-)
