I read this book back in 2007 but now I can't remember much about it except that I didn't love it. The author decided to travel across Spain on a bicycle even though she didn't really know how to ride a bike. I flipped through it and didn't love some of the descriptions in the first two pages (the locals in Hong Kong were "screeching into their mobile phones in high volume Cantonese like slowly strangled turkeys," and her gay coworkers "weren't afraid to find an outlet for their emotions, to clench their perfectly pert buttocks in indignation, to puff out their tightly t-shirted pecs, to squeal and stamp their cross little designer-shod feet"). Maybe someone else will find this book more amusing than I did.
