Journal Entry 1 by greenbadger from St Albans, Hertfordshire United Kingdom on Sunday, March 2, 2014
Second book of the Thursday Next series and extremely funny. Thursday's marriage to Landen is short lived when her enemies go back in time and have him drown at age two and she is the only one to remember him. Then Thursday is nearly killed in a series of unlikely coincidences - could it be that her nemesis Acheron Hades is still alive? She must go back into the world of fiction to attempt to restore Landen and find out what is really going on.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Sent to Lamilla who is first in the ray. Enjoy!
Arrived today along with the next one and a cute koala card. Thank you! Looking forward to reading it
ETA: So strange that the main plot line remained unresolved! The ending is a killer of a cliffhanger, looking forward to the next book in the series.

Arrived this week. Thanks for sending.

I finished this wonderful book yesterday. After the first book of Jasper Fforde I read Jane Eyre, which was pretty special, because I almost never read classics and I enjoyed it (although it took me a month.) And so we can conclude that that's a big plus for these books. I can't say much more than that I love these books, because they're about books, they're well written and they make you read other books, so what's more to want. I will now send bookguide a PM, because I'm sure she's eagerly awaiting this book.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Traveling to lunatum. Bookguide had already received this book from someone else.
The book arrived last week and I've already started reading. I have to say that I love the idea behind the book!
Thursday Next arrived, thanks!
I liked this one a lot more than #1, maybe because now I knew what to expect from the start. I was a bit confused with #1 first... :)
This was a funny book with great characters and crazy ideas! :D I especially loved the time traveling bits. I can't wait to get #3 in my hands! Thank you so much greenbadger for organizing this!
My apologies for keeping this so long!

Thursday Next travels to her next reader! Have fun! :)
Looks like Thursday had an adventure of her own on the way from Tampere to Göteborg... but now she finally arrived savely :-) I'm looking forward to read!
I opened the book, saw the "Goliath Book Rating" and started grinning like a Cheshire Cat... Now someone please tell me where to apply for Jurisfiction! Or how to get back into this weird sidetrack of mine where ducks still exist but Neanderthal art isn't a thing - I feel like I got a little bit lost in the library ;-)
Thursday is now moving on to bluezwuzl - enjoy!

Ha, the second Next book arrived on Saturday (together with two other ring-books...) I'm still with a VERY thick book, so it will take me a while... if I can resist...!
---
...I couldn't,
so the book is on its way again - in an especially grammasites-proof bag! And I'm really thinking about ordering those two pianos... *<;-D
Thanks a lot for sharing the book - I hope I can await the arrival of the next one...!

This book arrived today, in the post, from bluezwuzl, as part of a bookspiral.
I have a couple to read before this but I'll try to get through them quickly. :)

This was definitely better than the first one but not by that much. It was more interesting, with more action - love the action. I also love the Schitt brothers! :) The humour throughout was great.
I shall be posting this tomorrow, well not me personally, I found somebody willing to do it for me as I'm down with the flu.

Sent on to the next reader.
I am so, so sorry. I couldn't risk the grammasites ruining the book so I bound the packaging heavily in sellotape. I blame bluezwuzl for giving me such ideas. :P Have fun retrieving the book, and again I'm sorry.

This arrived yesterday, thank you! I can't wait to read it as soon as I finish my current book!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Taking to the August Murder and Mayhem meeting. This has more to do with mayhem than murder and is a jolly good romp! The puns are just as good as the first one and I love the imaginative book world where jurisfiction tries to keep the mayhem to a minimum!
Thanks so much for sharing! I'll send this around the Calgary bookcrossing group since I'm the end of the ray. :)
To the finder:
Calgary has an active group of BookCrossers that meet to swap books and discuss book crossing every second Saturday of the month at 11am at Cravings Market on Fairmount Drive SE. We always love to meet new crossers, so please join us any time you like!

Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing August meet-up. I picked up the first Thursday Next book, so I figured I would get the second one, too.
These books are so good. Why didn't I start reading them sooner?
I actually liked this one more than the first book. The plot didn't meander as much and much more is revealed about the book world. Man, the concept of Jurisfiction is so original. Fforde is a genius to have come up with two highly detailed worlds; Thursday's and the book world. I would love to read the rest of the series. I need to know if Thursday ever gets Landen back.

Passing this book on to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing September meet-up.
What a fun book! The whole Thursday next is just a bit confusing but funny. Imagine having your husband disappear and being able to jump in and out of books!
Taking this to the March meetup at Cravings Restaurant. Time for it to be passed on.
Picked up at get together
Really enjoyed the second book, but feel like it was a different concept for the series compared to the first book. Definitely some twists I didn't see coming, or rather thought would get resolved within this novel. Hope to see the resolutions in future novels! Still enjoyed the writing styles and characters, and am interested to know more about this super villain family.
Thanks for the interesting read!

Taken to get together!
Picked up at this month's Calgary Bookcrossing meetup. Finally got to book 2!!
It’s been a long time since I read book one but it slowly started coming back to me as I read this.
A fun read that went by faster than I thought.

Really enjoyed this one. I will admit that I had a hard time getting into the first one but am so glad that I stuck it out. Can't wait to see where this one goes.
