I was surprised how difficult the language of the book was to read. I struggled a lot in the beginning and it took me a while to find time to be able to concentrate fully to the text. The text is complex to me as a non-native speaker, more complex than Jane Austen herself.
I almost gave up on this book but decided to struggle and in the end it was very much worth it :) I like the book, characters and all and wish to read the rest of the series. Now that I know the complexity of language, I know to keep on reading!

This was a good and entertaining read though nothing too mysterious... But I don't mind:) I too struggled in the beginning but not because of the language but because of the excessive footnotes. Few of them were good and provided important information but most of them were just disrupting the flow of reading... I really look forward to reading the next one, or actually the 5th, in the series:D

The language really is difficult to read - I had less problems with Jane Austen's Mansfield Park ... Guess, that's why I still haven't finished the book yet. So, now I will take it with me to the annual bookcrossing picnic at Aix-la-Chapelle/Aachen.
