I was not as enamored of this second installment as I was of the first. The world-building was weak in Divergent, but I forgave that as the story was intriguing, but in Insurgent the lack of world-building was painfully obvious. Everything takes place in hallways. Hallway after hallway after hallway. The environment was boring. And there was way too much teen angst for me. Tris wallowed in self-misery and nothing happened until the end. None of Tris actions really made any sense; they just looked like obvious plot-holes that the author didn't know how to solve. I'm still looking forward to reading the third one, though. I think the story can still be redeemed.
