Purchased for $0.50 at the Friends of the Library fundraising book sale in Lawton, OK.

I've been avoiding Chick Lit for years, bored by the repetitive storylines and common relationship dramas. The vague jacket synopsis on this one suckered me in, though -- waving a wand of diversion and illusion. It is actually, I discovered, a romance novel about a handful of small-town women and their assorted men-folk. But I find myself not complaining about that because the connecting story was different and completely unexpected. I like this author's style and I'll look up more of her books in the future to see if they're as good.
