Dear Reader:

"The Republic" is the greatest of all dialogues by the greatest mind the Western world has ever known. A great mind allowed to creatively roam freely lays before you the subjects of metaphysics, theology, ethics, psychology, theory of education, theory of statesmanship, theory of art, feminism, birth control (believe it or not!), communism and socialism with all their virtues and difficulties, eugenics and libertarian education, aristocracy and democracy, vitalism and psychoanalysis. My God! What can't you find in this monumentally influential work written nearly 2,500 years ago? This book represents to many the highest achievement of Western civilization. May this vastly influential work deeply influence your life and the lives of those you come in contact with in the future.

Sincerely,

R. Vronsky
