Taking this book to the August BookCrossing meeting to see if anyone else would like to read it.
It took me a bit to get into the book but once I did I did enjoy it. Loosely based on the author's own experience it takes place in a small town in the 1950's. Elizabeth is torn between doing what is expected of her and what her heart desires. At the end of Elizabeth's life her two grown daughters find their mother's diary and learn that their mother had a life before them. Something I think we all come to realize and hope that our own kids come to realize it too.
Picked up this book at the August meeting. Just in case I don't have enough books!!
I am taking this to the September meeting at Cravings. Time for it to find a new reader.
Picked this up at the meeting.
This was a pleasant, quick read with a story line that kept me turning the pages. Thanks.
Taken to the Calgary BC Meetup today.
Brought home from the Nov meeting!
Cute twist at the end. A nice book to keep me company whilst spending my weekend sick in bed. Will bring home at Christmas.
Picked this up at January's meeting, our largest yet! I will be adding this to my TBR pile.
This was a fun and fast read. I really enjoyed it! The plot was interesting and kept me reading, I kind of figured out the twist at the end but I was still pleased with how it went.
Taking this to the "Book" themed BookCrossing Calgary meet up where it will go home with another reader.

Safely in my hands
What I thought was going to be a nice light fluff piece, turned into a page turner. I guess we have all been torn by love and it was interesting to go along for the ride with the characters. For some reason, I keep pondering over this book. It came to a nice conclusion but I keep wondering what did Mildred think and do....and other stuff that would be a spoiler!
I am taking this book to our monthly bookcrossers meet up at Cravings - the second Saturday of every month- to pass on to the next reader.
Picked up at yesterday's Calgary bookcrossing meetup. I've seen this book at the library a couple years ago and hesitated in picking it up... now that it's circulating around the group, I'm glad for the chance to read it.
Cute light casual and fast read. More the mom's story than the daughters' story. I liked the author's forward at the start of the book and the very smooth transitions between the mom's story and the diary. A little predictable, but a very sweet read.
Will be brought to the next Calgary BookCrossing meetup and handed off or handed back.

Picked up at the October bookcrossing meetup.
Purging my TBR pile and couldn't get into this one so back to the group it goes!
