Abstract:
"Come laugh and cry with the March family
Meg - the sweet-tempered one. Jo - the smart one.
Beth - the shy one. Amy - the sassy one.
Together they're the March sisters. Their father is away at war and times are difficult, but the bond between the sisters is strong. The family may not have much money, but that doesn't stop them from creating their own fun and forming a secret society. Through sisterly squabbles, happy times and sad, their four lives follow very different paths, and they discover that growing up is sometimes very hard to do..."

There will be a new movie in the cinemas soon, so I took the opportunity to read this. It was nicely to read and there have been passages I really enjoyed. Like when Beth got the little piano, the newspaper of the four girls and the lemon story.
I also liked very much all about Jo's anger and how her mother has helped her. This is something that quite personally affected myself since I found myself in their descriptions and I will also try to work more on myself to calm down in times of feeling my upset feelings.
What I didn't like much was the story around Mr. Brooch and maybe it is due to times that are changed, but I didn't like him at all and after the thing with the glove, it felt rather inappropriate for me and I lack the correct English word.
Well, I was not happy with the end and I would have preferred a different (specially for these times back then) outcome. Mr. Brooch was not rich and wealthy, so maybe that's the big advantage here- because normally this would have been a no-go, but I still didn't like him.
Also, I want to believe that Jo and Laurie would stick together, maybe not get wed but maybe start a business together, founding a newspaper and live together as equal partners and lovers. That I would have loved! :)

.. I'm curious now to see the movie. I like that Emma Watson is staring.
but it seems this movie is not shown in the big cinemas and I hope I can find one of the smaller ones to show it.
It seems the movie is taking the storytelling a bit different, so I'm really curious!
