OK, I'll admit I couldn't resist buying this book of snippets from the timeless Winnie the Pooh books by AA Milne.

At about 70 mm x 54 mm x 10 mm (2,8" x 2,1" x 0,4") even booklet is too heavy a word for it.

The tricky part was how to squeeze a BC label into the front cover. The release bag shouldn't be a problem, though: even a plastic bank bag for coins will do.

Let's face it, this is deep wisdom: wisdom of the kind one gets at the bottom of honey pots! The excerpts are by necessity brief and out of context, to such an extent that I think readers not familiar with the Pooh stories will wonder what it's all about.

Perhaps that is the trick: hopefully this will spark enough interest for new readers to go look for the Winnie the Pooh books* and for old readers to reread theirs. They certainly deserve to be reread for generations to come.

As always, the drawings by EH Shepard are a delight.
