an interesting book but not my favourite, the plot was good but the characters were pretty unsympathetic. I'd be interested to know what others make of it though!
finally on its way as part of the Alphabet VBB - apologies for the delay!

Eleanor Merritt is a mild, down-trodden woman working in Africa for a charity providing contraceptives. Population in Africa is burgeoning out of control leading to more poverty and hunger. Two strong minded men she knows hold opposing views, one that all human life is worthless, the other that African population is spreading over the world and rightfully wiping out the feeble and declining other races. As she finds herself growing closer to the former she finds herself changing, getting angrier, being influenced by his views. But what exactly is he up to? Very well written and engaging story, thought provoking with the extremity of beliefs portrayed. I felt the ending fell a bit flat though.
