I have a spiritual connection with books. They just find me sometimes.
When I was 16 I found a book in the backseat of the driver's ed car. I didn't know if it was left there intentionally or not, but I knew I should take it and read it. It was Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder. What a book to start with. Every once in a while I will happen upon a book either in a similar circumstance, or maybe just in a used bookstore. They might end up sitting on the shelf for a few years, but then something always happens to draw them out. These books that make their way into my life end up being the ones that transform me. This is why I so love the idea of bookcrossing.

About Me: I'm a stay-at-home mom, an animal-loving vegetarian, a neo-hippie-wannabee, and still figuring out the rest. I live with my husband (MrX) and son (Cub), and we share our lives with 3 rabbits and miss our 4th, Bartie. We've recently opened our home to a mama dog (who lost her home in the hurricane last year) and her tiny puppy - what an adventure this will be! I'm constantly picking up new hobbies - being at home is great and allows me to do this. I am happiest when I am busy but have to be careful about becoming too busy, and of course bookcrossing is not helping with that!

The books on my bookshelf don't all reflect my taste. To get a general idea of what books I like you can take a look at my PC & TBR shelves. I'm slowly working on getting all my books registered. It's hard to say what my taste really is, but right now my two favorite are "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn (along with his other books) and "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. It's even harder to explain exactly why these are my favorites.

16 of my wild releases have been caught as of 7/24/06.
