This was a great 2nd half of the duology. Huge stakes, adventure, and a satisfying finish. What more could I ask for?
From Chapters.ca:
"Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn't think they'd survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they're right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and badly weakened, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz's cunning and test the team's fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city's dark and twisting streets-a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of the Grisha world."

Taking to the extra December Calgary BookCrossing meetup.
Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing January meet-up. Aw yeah, the second book! Can't wait to finish off this duology.
I was expecting this book to be all about rescuing Inej, but that's just a fraction of the story. Like Kaz and his plans, what you expect is not what you get. I think the only thing I didn't like was how things always seemed to work out. Sure, Kaz has to go through a few plans, but they get pulled off without any major complications. I was surprised by how many of the crew make it to the end of the book. This isn't like an old school heist movie where none of the heroes make it out with their ill gotten gains. So, does this mean there might be more books? This is such a rich world; I'd hate to see the end of the Grisha novels.
Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing February meet-up.
Picked up at the Feb. meeting
My daughter sent this home with a "Dad, I really think you'll like this".
My daughter passed these off to me at Christmas.
Another great read to follow up on the Six of Crows. They do amazing things and boy does Kaz have a mind that covers all the possible angles!
