This was my NSSS gift, and has been very much enjoyed. A bit hard to get into at first but worth sticking at.It has a similar feel to 'Chocolat'.

Beautifully written, a book to really get caught up in. Filled me with a longing for the unprotectedness of a neglected childhood, in spite of the dangers. Thanks so much both KathrynKat and MoonTree

I struggled at the start of this book, I'm so glad I kept at it. It was delightful. I am going to kep a look out for the rest of her books now I have read two of them and enjoyed them both.
