Frannie a young talented veterinarian whose husband was recently murdered, came across an amazing discovery in the woods near her animal hospital. Soon after, Kit Harrison, a troubled and uncoventional FBI agent, arrives on Frannie's doorstep. And then there is eleven year old Max - Frannie's amazing discovery - and one of the most unforgettable creations in thriller fiction.
Only Max, the oldest of the incredible children who blew into Frannie's life and captured her heart knows that another, terrifying biological experiment is taking place. Somewhere in America, a brilliant but evil surgeon is secretly researching, performing a cruel travesty of an operation. But to complete his experiment he need the ultimat prize - Max herself.....
What a brilliant idea to have two bestselling novels in one book. After reading the first I didn't have to search around for the follow one to it. Once I'd started reading I didn't want to put this down. Another two good books by James Patterson.
