This is the 7th book of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series (if you don't count Fantasy Lover since it's more of a prequel than part of the series).

I picked this up primarily for NeedSun since she's collecting and doing rings for the Dark Hunter series, and seeing as this book was only just published at the end of Jun 2005, she didn't have this one yet. So I'm going to send it to her before I read it, and hope it'll make it's way back to my reading list via her ring. :)

FROM BACK COVER:
In the realm of Dark-Hunters, there is a code of honor that even immortal bad boys must follow: Harm no human. Drink no blood. Never fall in love.

But every now and again, a Dark-Hunter thinks himself above the Code. That's when I'm summoned. Who am I? I'm the one thing the fearless fear. Step over the line and it's my wrath you will face. Nothing can touch me. Nothing can sway me. I am relentless and unfeeling.

Or so I thought until I met a female Dark-Hunter who goes by the name of Danger—it's not just her name, it's how she lives her life. She doesn't trust me at all. And who could blame her? She alone knows that I'm here to be judge, jury, and most likely, executioner of her friends. Yet she is my key to saving some of them. Without her, they will all die.

Dangereuse St. Richard is a deadly distraction. Something about her is reawakening a heart I thought was long dead. But in a race against evil, the only hope mankind has is that I do my duty. And how can I do my duty when it means that I will have to sacrifice the only woman I've ever loved?

Sent via Air Mail.

This is off to NeedSun as she's collecting the series. I haven't read it yet myself, but since she's doing bookrings for all the books in this series, I know it'll make it's way through my hands sometime down the road. :)

NeedSun, this is yours to keep or do with as you like since I believe you're collecting these for your personal collection. Just so long as I get to read it at some point after I've read the other ones. :)

It arrived on Wednesday! I can't wait to read it. I love these Dark Hunters and I especially love the on-going story about Ash.

Thanks Cherie, for donating this to the on-going rings for these books. The people who have read them so far have loved them and are also looking for more.

Even though all the books have been about relationships, the others also had alot more action in them. This book really focused on the time Lex and Danger spent together. I hope this is not the direction all her books are going to take because the action is what made these a little more than just romance novels. This book also reveals a little bit more about Ash, which I did appreciate, but I like to see him more involved with the plot.

I will likely send this book to Kiki66 within the week. We all love our Dark Hunter men!

Well, I finally read this one.. am I right that this is the last in the series? or is there more to come??

I wasn't so impressed with this one, even though it featured a female Dark Hunter for once...
And I found the explanation of 'The Beginning'a bit weak.. somehow I expected more secrets and surprises when it comes to Ash...

Anyway, this will be on its way to Austria tomorrow....

I really love the Dark Hunter series and everything that is related to it. However, I was pretty disappointed by this book. The story was not very exciting and very predictable. The tiny bits of new information delivered about Acheron (his life in Katoteros) and the origins of the Dark Hunter world gave the book it's 8 stars though.

Got this in the mail today. Yay, more Dark-Hunter books! Too bad I have several rings ahead of this.

EDIT: I'm holding on to this book until NeedSun says it's okay for me to send it to the next reader.

I didn't have high expectations for this book because I read the previous readers' comments before starting the book. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't among the best in the series, but it was nevertheless an entertaining and interesting read, and it only took me one day to read the book.

Sins of the Night was quite the opposite from the previous book Seize the Night, as it had no appearances from former protagonists, and it was linked to the rest of the series mostly via Ash, even though he wasn't present most of the time either. I did find the new revelations very interesting, but I'm a bit annoyed by the vagueness of the past. I wonder if the author herself know where she's going with all of this...

When I looked back at the book, I noticed that there wasn't a whole lot of action going on, most of the plot was just filled by dialogue between the main characters. This didn't actually bother me, because I was never bored while reading, I just wanted to read more! Now I'm looking forward to reading the next book. :)

I have pm'd joasik for her address, and will send the books on as soon as I get it.

I've sent all three books to the next bookcrosser in the ring today.

I loved this book! I think the Charonte are such an adorable addition to the story of Dark-Hunters. They just rock!

Received this with two other Dark Hunter books. I'm really looking forward to continuing the series.

I am really enjoying this series but, this wasn't one of my favorites. The writing seemed rushed and not much action, unlike the other books in the series. This one seemed more like a sagway book. I didn't learn much about Danger and I would like it better if the short story was weaved into the book as a flashback or something. Oh well, I can't love them all. But, I do look forward to the next book.

This and the two previous books will be on the road to Cherie today. Enjoy.

Books 5-7 arrived with me today. I'm still on book 2 so it'll be a little while before these get through my hands. Woohoo! I see this copy was originally registered for me as I acquired it for NeedSun, so it's now gone full circle. :D
