RABCK Starts My Husband READING!
Two Copies of Gone with the Wind

My husband has never read a book in his adult life. I find this so hard to believe, but yes, it's true. I am an avid reader and I never really could grasp the fact that my husband wasn’t! However, a great revelation has occurred in my family since I joined
BookCrossing.
I was very excited when I received my first RABCK. It was a copy of the book Gone with the Wind. I immediately called my husband -- he works out-of-state -- to have a little celebration of the first book I ever received from another BookCrosser. Amazingly, he said, "Oh, don't let that book go when you’re done because I want to read it too!" My eyes popped out, my jaw dropped, and for the first time since we have been married, I was utterly speechless. After my pause, I confirmed, “You want to read Gone with the Wind?” He responded in the affirmative -- that yes, he wants to read this classic novel.
I am just so thrilled that I want to share this with everyone. Had it not been for me requesting Gone with the Wind and receiving it, this probably would never have happened. I cannot even express how thankful I am for the books I received and the two members who sent them to me. Not only have these two members sent me a book I have longed to read, but it has also started my husband reading. Many times when he’s away for long periods of time, all we seem to talk about are the same old things -- the kids, the bills, and sometimes nothing at all. Now, through BookCrossing and RABCKs by two members, we have something to talk about -- our reading!
I sent him his copy on February 28, but was unable to wait to start reading my copy. I am pacing myself, though!
I didn’t think I could top this off, but . . . he also joined!
