Wow! This was an excellent novel that confirmed most of my thoughts regarding the Harry Potter phenomenon and how Christians should react to it. Being English, he has a unique perspective that is not often found in American churches. Bridger compares (as I have done when trying to explain my inordinate fondness for HP and why I don't condemn the series as being "of the Devil") Rowling's books to the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Narnia Chronicles. I thought he expounded on these comparisons as I would have liked to! This is an excellent companion to those who have read the Potter books and enjoyed them. A word of warning - this book does contain "spoiler" material for the books and if you have not read the series, you will find out many things that may spoil the reading for you. However, if you are a Christian who has not read the series out of prejudice or fear, please read this book and THEN read the Potter books. I hope you will come to a greater understanding of both those books and indeed our entire world. :)
Here is the book ring order for this book. Please PM the next person in line for their address when you are ready to release the book to them. If they do not respond within three days, PM them again. If they do not respond within a week of your first message, PM the person after them and contact me. I keep my book rings and rays open unless they get too unwieldy, so the order may change (I try to keep it geographically sensible.)

. So far the book is relatively interesting. Although it does seem an attempt to try and Christianize the Harry Potter series, which in my opinion was not Rowlings intent. If, however, Bridger's work makes Harry more palatable to those who found him offensive, then 'Bravo! Job well done!'.
Thanks for reminding me that I still have this book! I appologize that it wasn't mailed out weeks ago, when I had planned it to be. It will be on it's way to Ardy!
received in the mail today- thank you!
Came in today's mail...Thank for the fun Christmas card Ardy. So far it's my daughter's favorite card. I'll be reading the book in the next little while.
I'm really glad that I've read this book, it confirmed what I believed since the Harry hoopla started. I'm going to get a copy to give to a dear friend who's having problems with the series due to her Christian beliefs.
