Recent Book Activity

I have been having a lot of trouble keeping up with bookrings. For the present, if you are here for my address to send me a bookring book please pass me by- send it on to the next person on the list. Within the next couple of weeks I will send all the bookring/ray books that I have here on to their next destination.

I also will not be trading books for a time. I have so many wonderful books here to read already! I do plan to go on with my release project as funds allow, so when I am ready to make my next offer I'll put it out on the forum.

I have embarked on a release project. The idea is eventually to release a book everywhere BookCrossing has a presence. Or at least everywhere people read English. Just to put some order to it I am starting close to home with the 50 US states first. So far I have sent books to be released in Alaska, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, DC., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii and Idaho

We had our 5th catch! Penny-n-chaos released a book at a high school in Georgia. It was picked up by a teacher, who lent it to a student and the student read it and made a journal entry!

So far I have sent out 48 Books, of those, 46 have been recieved by other bookcrossers, 31 have been released into the wild and five (!) have been caught. (2/12/04).

Yes, I am already silly about that child and we don't even know its gender yet!
