The Lovely Bones: from the book's cover:
"My name was Solmon, like the fish; first name Susie. I was fourteen when I was murdered on Dec6,1973."So begins the story of Susie Salmon, who is adjusting to her new home in heaven, a place that is not a all what she expected, even as she is watching life on earth continue without her-her friends trading rumors about her disappearance, hr killer trying to cover his tracks, her grief-striken family unraveling. Out of unspeakable tragedy and loss. Th LovelyBones succeeds, miraculously, in building a tale filled with hope, humor, suspense, even joy.

I loved this book, an extraordinary story of love, tragedy and grief told in such a way it touches, comforts and inspires you.
I'm registering this book in memory of Tania Maia, our Snowshoee[1982-2009].

It is a disturbing novel, particularly the very first pages. Gosh, I hardly believed my eyes when I was reading. Immediately I put aside the book, only after some days I had mood to read it on. Though I flipped some pages, I read everything about regarding Mr. Harvey's life, which made me so angry. The tragedy of the family was so deep, their struggle was painful, weepy. Susie's presence was interesting throughout the story, mostly her comments, her feelings regarding her loved ones. Her love story even if was beautifully written, but its coming to life was unbelievable, yeah, until that point I could believe it as a "real" story, but this happening brought me back to the Earth, no, it was a made-up story.
