FL 'When the monster finally came through the door, he was wearing a mask.'

As an assistant district attorney, Nina Frost prosecutes the sort of crimes that tear families apart. But when Nina and her husband discover that their five-year old son Nathaniel has been sexually abused, it is her own family that is devastated. The world Nina inhabits now seems different from the one she lived in yesterday; the lines between family and professional life are erased; and answers to questions she thought she knew are no longer easy to find.

Overcome by anger and desperate for vengeance, Nina ignites a battle that may cause her to lose the very thing she's fighting for.

Thank you very very much for the Secret Santa surprise. I was very good and did not open it until this morning (unlike my recipient who opened hers in November!!!). I love Jodi Picoult books and really look forward to starting on this one.

I really enjoyed this book which was full of twists and turns and certainly provokes questions, "What would you do in the same situation?" I don't think I would have acted quite as drastically or as desperately but I suppose if you have kids and something as terrible as child abuse happens keeping a level head and waiting for justice to prevail goes out of the window.

A good read!
