NOV. 2021 update:

I like to read all sorts of books, although my favourite genre are the police procedural crime/thrillers and suspense novels. Anything too graphically violent and I tend to skim through it. I'm also keen on (auto)/biographies/non-fiction, especially on people who have lead interesting lives, but not necessarily anyone famous or in the public eye. I enjoyed The Cook's Tale and The Maid's Tale and Jennifer Worth's Midwife series. Anything relating to our social history. I like a well written crime book and I have my favourites (Peter James, Mark Billingham, Peter Robinson, Lynda la Plante and Val McDermid) and I am also not averse to a bit of romance provided it reads well, has a good story and is not too mawkish. I can't resist a good Christmas novel though I am mostly disappointed with them.

Since Covid I haven't wild released at all and tend to just give my books away to non-bookcrossers and although they are all bookplated and journaled on the off chance they may resurface again I don't seem to have converted anybody yet!

Regarding the organised ''Secret Santa'' books it is best to check my Wishlist, which I shall endeavour to keep updated, because I do buy an awful lot of books to read on my kindle, especially if they are cheaper than the secondhand paperback versions. New books are getting more and more expensive and buying second hand from Amazon isn't that cheap with the ever increasing postal charges so I have recently joined the local library and have acquired some great reads there. I am sure I will still be tempted to buy the odd book now and then though!

For the UK secret santa 2023 as advised by organiser to put on profile (or in a PM to organiser) additional things that I like:

Anything with chocolate!
Putty erasers (for my art work)
Anything with chocolate!
book marks, book plates
Anything with chocolate!
Anything really
And in case I forgot to mention...chocolate

You get the drift!
