This is a little Christmas present to myself! I have read all of Janets books so it only seemed fair that I get this as a treat to myself!

I will trade/rabck or ring this book when I am finished!

Journal Entry 2 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Friday, December 23, 2005
From www.evanovich.com (You can read the first chapter of this book on the website)

High-powered career woman Alex Scott knew finding a husband in the wilds of Alaska would be a challenge, but she didn't count on attack mice, burning down an outhouse, and one irresistible bush pilot allergic to weddings...

Janet lived in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1973. her husband was a guest professor at the University of Alaska. Years later her daughter, Alex, returned to attend the University as a student..

I managed to read this within a few hours. It is a nice small easy to read book and is typical Janet Evanovich!

I won't give anything away about the story but I will say that I wanted to know more about the future of the main characters and I also dreamt about having a little cabin somewhere too. It was funny to wake up this morning to so much snow as the book was based in Alaska I thought I was still dreaming :)

Also I think it is certain that Janet Evanovich is a dog lover but does every book have to have a junk food eating dog in it???

I will PM the first person on the ring list and post this asap!

Edit 1/1/06 - I have Pm'd the first person on the list and as soon as I have their address this book will be on it's way!

The book arrived yesterday, thanks amberkatze and nikel27. I'll need to finish Love Overboard before tomorrow (will offer it at the monthly meetup...) and will start reading this one after that.

Journal Entry 7 by em64 from Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Saturday, February 11, 2006
Funny and entertaining. Just finished Love Overboard which was bit of a disappointment, but Manhunt was a lot better. Though there was not much of manhunting as the man kind of dropped in her arms very early in the book :-)

Have pm'd Beekeeper for address. Actually, it was beekeeper40... Anyway, have pm'd and now I'm waiting for a reply :-)

Journal Entry 8 by em64 from Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Sunday, February 12, 2006

Journal Entry 12 by kubchen from Cork, Co. Cork Ireland on Tuesday, February 28, 2006
Thanks beekeeper for sending the book and Amberkatze for starting the bookring. The book arrived safely yesterday in my postbox.
What a nice surprise it was to open it and to find two postcards and a beatuiful selfmade bookcrossing bookmark from beekeeper. Love it.

Journal Entry 13 by kubchen from Cork, Co. Cork Ireland on Wednesday, March 8, 2006
Funny book and brilliantly easy read! It's ages ago since I've read a romance novel and I really enjoyed this one - I laughed out loud quite a few times, my partner sneered quite a few times about my current reading material, then again I never hear him laugh while he's reading ;).
I really looking forward the other Evanovich book's hopefully soon coming my way.

Book is now in post to WelshHelen - Happy Reading!

Journal Entry 14 by WelshHelen from Ponthenri, Wales United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 14, 2006
Arrived safely today - thank you Amberkatze and kubchen. I have one or two others to read first but will get on to this one asap :-)

Journal Entry 15 by WelshHelen from Ponthenri, Wales United Kingdom on Monday, April 3, 2006
Hmmm... I must admit that this is the kind of chic-lit book that makes me grit my teeth. What comes across is, "Ladies, you can't be happy and successful unless you're married." I know that most chic-lit books are on the theme of finding a man and getting married but for some reason this one grated on me. Mind you, having said that, I very strangely enjoyed it! I'm just hoping that the rest of her female characters don't come across as desperate as this one.

Posted second class to dodau today.

Journal Entry 16 by dodau from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, April 5, 2006
Arrived today, next to be read

Journal Entry 17 by dodau from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire United Kingdom on Saturday, April 15, 2006
Another funny and captivating romance from Janet Evanovich. These books are light and easy to read so yu can get through them quickly and the characters make you want to keep reading. it says in the front that she wrote 12 of these but only 7 were ever published. Makes me want to read the other 5 to see why they weren't

Journal Entry 18 by snowy652 from Abbotsford, British Columbia Canada on Wednesday, June 14, 2006
book arrived safe and sound -- thanks for including me in this ring. I will comment on it once I have read it and then pass it on to the next reader.

June 19 ~ ~ Janet Evaonvich always seems to write such witty and fun stories. This was a hoot and I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times. I enjoyed the quirky Alex and I found her to be likeable. The romantic sparks between her and Casey lept off of the page. I look forward to reading much more of Evanovich in the future, as she has become one of my most favorite authors.

June 20 ~ ~ pm'd collectorkerri for her address

June 25 ~ ~ posted an iso on the forums

*******whoever made the wonderful bookmark cross-stitch -- would you mind sharing your pattern? -- those after me will love it as much as those who saw it before me.

Fast, fluffy, classic zany Evanovich. It made good train reading on the Amtrak. Off to HallieK tomorrow.

Journal Entry 22 by HallieK from Austin, Texas USA on Sunday, July 16, 2006
Got this in the mail yesterday and can't wait to read it. I just love these early Evanovich romances!

Yea, no willpower here...I read it this afternoon and just loved it. I'm clumsy and imagine that I would hurt myself and burn things down if I were in the same situation. :) It sure sounds like it'd be a fun adventure, though! I can't get enough of these fun books! Thanks for sharing.

I have the next address and will be mailing this off later this week.

I loved it - nice and fluffy - which is what I expected so wasn't disappointed, title didn't really suit as she didn't have much hunting to do - the gorgeous hunk was there on the doorstep - off to bargainqueen tomorrow

Journal Entry 26 by bargainqueen from Avondale, Queensland Australia on Friday, August 18, 2006
Arrived today, how exciting. I am stuck reading an original Robinson Crusoe so may push this in between (any excuse will do!!!). Love the kittycat bookmark, thanks for that :)

Journal Entry 27 by bargainqueen from Avondale, Queensland Australia on Sunday, August 20, 2006
I just couldn't resist!!! Read it in one quick sitting, very easy to devour without using too much brainpower. I absolutely loved it and think I may buy myself a copy of it as I own just about every other Evanovich. Also loved the preview at the end of it. But I must say, like Amber, every book has that dog....Also every heroine has a hair problem! And every bloke is SO hot! But.......the story is still great :)
Off to Malta now, will post it tomorrow all being well.

Journal Entry 28 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Sunday, September 10, 2006
Thanks to everyone who took part in this bookring. I know the book hasn't reached me again but I am not sure if and when Kbudgie will journal this book. She has 2 other bookrings of mine with her and I know she was busy with things so I am really not sure if this book will pop up again.

Maybe the book will move again! Maybe it will make it home to me! Would be nice to see it again!

Journal Entry 29 by kbudgie on Tuesday, September 19, 2006
This book arrived the other day and if it is like the previous 3 pre Plum books I should get through it quite quickly!

Thanks Amberkatze, I shall send it home to you ASAP

Journal Entry 30 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Friday, August 3, 2007
