My birthday package as just arrived – wooooohooooooo- but I won’t open it until my birthday so I’ll be back after February 12 ;o)
rainbow3 from Scotland sent me the MOST amazing package of gifts!! I was so thrilled and felt like I was 5, and it was Christmas morning. :) She sent Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, Dulcie Domum's Bad Housekeeping by Sue Limb, and Dead Beat and Kick Back by Val McDermid. I'm in book heaven! LOL
In addition, rainbow3 generously included several brochures and postcards of Scotland (one of my dream destinations), a yummy organic dark chocolate/orange and spices bar, a sweet little silver clip, and a cute-as-heck pig bookmark (yes, I love pigs!).
I swear, I feel like I just won the lottery!
Thank you once again, chich, for organizing this wonderful experiment. It's great getting to know such wonderful people across the world.
And thanks again to you, rainbow3, for your kindness and generosity!
I just realized I ought to post here! Grammarbroad and I were partnered up for last year's dealie, so for her birthday I arranged for her to get a copy of Tristan and Iseult (which was on her wishlist) and... one... other... I can't quite recall now **laughs** Though I'm sure she remembers. Of course, when the time came for my birthday, I had completely forgotten to expect anything to arrive. The box from chapters.com addressed to me confused me a little, as I hadn't ordered anything, and I opened it up to find Swan Song (which had been on my wishlist for ages), and another novel also by Robert McCammon. I was *Thrilled* to say the least, but of course am currently buried in a backlog of bookrings that I am struggling to free myself from. Thanks so much, Grammarbroad!
I'm looking forward to this year's funness **grins** My partner's b-day is February, so I've got to get on it!

Thank you cats-eye for your amazing (and very tasty I must say) gift-pack. As promised it was open yesterday, and well the sugar candies are all gone… Now, about the main thing, the book: I’m overwhelmed, the only reason that stop me from reading was the huge tbr pile from rings, rays and loans. But once I’m done with these…
Well once again, thank you so much cats-eye and also chich for this idea!

I posted safrolistics birthday parcel yesterday, we are both in the UK so it should arrive in time for her birthday. Then I heard somebody wishing her a belated happy birthday this morning, I was worried I'd put the wrong date in my diary so I'm relieved to find it listed here as the 25th :-)
Happy Birthday Safron

Hi there fellow BRE members!
Following the "BCIDs are for books" issue, I've decided to move the BRE journal to Flickr so all BRE members can still journal the books they send and receive (or simply post messages about the BRE).
To access the Birthday RABCK group, just click here. This group is public so anyone can post a topic or a comment. Feel free to PM me if you need any help with posting comments or uploading photos:)
You can still access the original BRE journal, BRE member list and BRE teams list but please do not make new journal entries using the BRE BCID.
Thanks and Happy Birthday RABCKing!

I have received my parcel from kinedi with a "do not open until your birthday" message on the outside. So no journal entry yet for the book. Thanks for remembering kinedi. More than I have managed to do by completely forgetting all about sending a RABCK to kinedi in August for her birthday (very embarrasing). However I have put that right now by sending off by fastest post possible so that her parcel will be waiting on her return from her trip to Canada.

Thanks as well to libragirl for my two wonderful books received all the way from New Zealand! They both look fascinating and intrigueing so I'll have to toss a coin which one to read first.Oh,life is hard !!
sent off a birthday package to nightraine56 for her 10/28 big day including a copy of "Zombie" by Joyce Carole Oates. shhhh, don't tell her, but there is a second package in the mail today with another book from her list. it didn't arrive until yesterday so it didn't make it into the package that arrived in time for her birthday - so this one will go as an "un-birthday" gift instead!
Hi! I got my birthday present last week but decided to open it only today. I got a very nice package with two books: Kafka on the Shore (Haruki Murakami) and The Historian (Elizabeth Kostova). Besides that, redhouse sent me a very gooooooood chocolate and a nice book marker.
Thank you so much redhouse for my nice birthday presents!

RELEASE NOTES:
I'm sorry for my delay in posting here - I sent off something for Satnam, but I'm afraid it might not have arrived in time :-( It took a while until I received at least part of what I wanted/had ordered...
