Death in a Strange Country

Commissario Guido Brunettis second case: The body of a young man is found floating in a Venetian canal. What seems first the result of a mugging turns out to be much more complicated.
Journal Entry 2 by KatColorado at GZ Wollishofen in Zürich, Zürich Switzerland on Saturday, March 19, 2005
Found this on the Buechergestell (bookcase) at GZ Wollishofen, a community centre down on Zurich lake. Thanks for showing me this place, KatColorado - looking forward to our summer picnic / bookcrossing event!
I enjoyed this book for it's insight into Venice, and the characters and the food. The actual plot of the mystery I didn't find that convincing! I liked the characters though, Guido Brunetti, his team and his awful boss Patta!
I think this book may be released on a bear down by the canal in Zurich (which the Zurich tourits office describes as a taste of Venice!) Pictures to follow, you be the judge :-)

I was on vacation in Zurich and went out to sit by the canal and read. I saw this book and picked it up. I actually picked it up exatcly where Nice Cup Of Tea left it on the day that she left it there. I think I'll probably pass it on to a friend instead of leaving it laying around. That's not such a hot idea here in Israel as it might get mistaken for a 'suspicious object' and blown up by the police (no kidding).
As a rule, I don't enjoy women authors that much, but this book was quite good.
