Picked up from a library sale. Have read two books by this author ,"The Kind Worth Killing" which I loved & the other "Her Every Fear" which quite frankly was a waste of my valuable reading time. What will I make of this one? Watch this space.....

So the blurb gives you the outline for this story which is...
"George Foss never thought he'd see her again, but on a late-August night in Boston, there she is, in his local bar, Jack's Tavern.

When George first met her, she was an eighteen-year-old college freshman from Sweetgum, Florida. She and George became inseparable in their first fall semester, so George was devastated when he got the news that she had committed suicide over Christmas break. But, as he stood in the living room of the girl's grieving parents, he realized the girl in the photo on their mantelpiece - the one who had committed suicide - was not his girlfriend. Later, he discovered the true identity of the girl he had loved - and of the things she may have done to escape her past.

Now, twenty years later, she's back, and she's telling George that he's the only one who can help her..."

Sounds intriguing eh? Well the idea is good- it certainly appealed to me - some of the twists are good...even very good ...but ultimately it failed to deliver for me. The feeling of tension never racked up with George being a rather vapid lead. I found his relationship (if you can call it that) with Liane unconvincing. At first he came over as a rather naive lovesick character but no, he was just a gullible idiot as far she was concerned! As to the conclusion...."meh" about covers it.

Quite a feat for a story with such potential & good twists to feel so lacklustre resulting in an overall verdict from me of a mediocre ok.

The bookbox this book was travelling in appears to have met an untimely end. After hearing from Hermes that "parcel damaged beyond repair", Nataliec7 has heard that "unfortunately the item has become damaged within the network and disposed of"- oh no !!! So it would appear that this box & it's contents, including this book, have gone to the Great BookCrossing Library in the Sky :o(

Are you sure you want to delete this item? It cannot be undone.
