I've just a 3-in-1 of the Gormenghast Trilogy so this is going free.
Caught this at the Nottingham meet. It's a lovely, comfortable looking edition - one of those books that's a real pleasure to read as it looks sort of lived in.
I'm also intrigued to have a go at this. I watched a few minutes of the BBC adaptation and made a sort of mental note to have a read. I suppose this is my chance!

Right. I'm going to pass this one on. I'm finding it a little bit dense and hard going at the moment. It's not that the story isn't interesting - far from, but it's one of those books I'm finding it hard to get into. I'm going to release this at the National Meet in Birmingham this weekend so that someone else gets a chance to have a go at a real classic.
It's not all bad news though - I was in Oxfam this afternoon and picked up all 3 books for a couple of quid. I'm definitely going to have another go at these, and so they will sit on my TBR pile until the urge takes me!

Release planned for Saturday, July 17, 2004 at BCUK 2004 Unconvention @ Apres Bar, Summerrow in Birmingham, England Controlled Releases.
this is a beautiful (if slightly battered copy) of this book, so I hope it catches the eye of another BCUK-er, just as it took my eye a few months ago.
Oh, this copy is missing a page as well - from what I could tell, we don't miss much though!
