Hello. I'm rubbish and I have hardly been able to get over here or to the BCUK site. Sorry about that.

I'm trying not to hold up any rings or anything, but please feel free to give me a nudge if I am.

I am picking up PMs and stuff, so if you want to contact me you can try that route.

If you want to know what I'm up to and what's on my mind, head on over to my blog (linked above). I'm spending increasing amounts of time reading weblogs, actually. They're not art (definitely not in most cases) but some are really excellent. If you want a launch pad, come and have a look at the links off my blog.

Click on the link below to access my "wish list" (which is hosted on a marvellous site by bookcrosser cliff1976 - go there and set up your own list)

My Wish List

Bookrings and stuff:

The Sexual Life of Catherine M PM me if you want to join.

Still doing the rounds is (the now autographed copy of) Dave Gorman's Googlewhack adventure. PM me if you want more!

Owen Meany Bookring PM me if you want to be added to the list - this is my favourite ever copy of my favourite ever book, so I'm hoping to get it back in one piece at some point, but I want everyone to enjoy it as much as I did! There are also a couple of other copies in rings kicking around the place somewhere....

Luke Rhinehart's cult novel Diceman The slowest bookring in the world. Relax. Take it easy. Read it when you like. Drop me a PM if you want in....

----------------------------------

Bit about me.... I studied modern european and renaissance history & Medieval Studies at University, so naturally I ended up working in IT. My favourite authors are Alexandre Dumas & John Irving. My favourite musicians are Scott Walker, The Smiths and R.E.M. My favourite gadget is my I-Pod.

and I love sport of all kinds, but especially cricket....

Wisden 2004 I went to the Nottingham test match dressed as Santa Claus you know.... but you probably had to be there.

Wisden is a great shelf-filler you know. Of the 141 editions, I have 1979, 81, 82, 83, 90, 92 (thanks wistfuldragon!)94, 96-2004. If you have any of the others, you will certainly make my day, but they will never be crossed and will disappear into my private collection and make my girlfriend very cross.... (for those not in the know, wisden is a 1500-odd page book of cricket statistics that basically changes very little from year to year and is now in it's 142nd edition....)

Anyway - Send me a private message if you want to do a swap. I like lots of books. Not just dull cricket ones (not that Wisden is dull, you understand - try Darren Gough's autobiography if you want a dull book)

ah come on - there must be someone out there wanting to shift some wisdens...? no? anyone? Bueller?
