One Side Laughing: Stories Unlike Other Stories

I've enjoyed many of Knight's works over the years, mostly in SF anthologies. When I found this fair-condition hardcover at a local Savers, I had to give it a shot.
And I'm glad I did! Knight provides commentary on each story, sometimes with hilarious asides - the bit up front about the Limoges golf ball cracked me up, and I hadn't even gotten to the stories yet. The stories themselves range from heart-wrenching to hilarious, with some being all too topical - "I See You" reflects on a world in which everyone can see everyone else at any time, no filters...
About "The Other Foot," a novella, he notes that it's much longer than the other stories, and is here "for two very good reasons: the first is that if it were not here the book would not be long enough, and the second is that it is my darling." Also published as "Mind Switch," it's about a human and an apelike alien whose minds are switched (surprise!), and who each find that life in the other's body - and society - aren't that simple.
"The Time Exchange" is a short-short story, by way of contrast, and has a funny - and all too apt - stinger.
And there's a lot more to enjoy here - a very good collection indeed!
[There's a TV Tropes page on Knight and his work, with some entertaining tidbits.]

I'm adding this to the SF bookbox, which will be on its way to its next stop soon. Enjoy!
I haven't read most of these so I can't resist; taking it from the SF book box.
Thanks Gory!
