Grief is the Thing with Feathers
3 journalers for this copy...
In a London flat, two young boys face the unbearable sadness of their mother's sudden death. Their father, a Ted Hughes scholar and scruffy romantic, imagines a future of well-meaning visitors and emptiness. In this moment of despair they are visited by Crow - antagonist, trickster, healer, babysitter. This sentimental bird is drawn to the grieving family and threatens to stay until they no longer need him. This extraordinary debut, full of unexpected humour and emotional truth, marks the arrival of a thrilling and significant new talent.

This is a most unusual little book and is full of differing literary 'tricks'. Crow is central to the narrative watching over a grieving husband and his two boys after the death of his wife and their mother exploring love, death and grief. Highly recommended.
Book has arrived safely with me in Brisbane, Australia.

(I always add physical postage stamps to my packages. If you are not a collector yourself, check out the I collect postage stamps because... thread to find them a happy home.)
Oh, what a nice surprise! :-) Thank you so much. I didn't know what was going on at first. I had to find it out with the BCID :-)
About stamps, I used to collect them, but now I just send them over to Bookcrossers like Lamilla, hyphen8 (for her mother) and others. They won't be lost either :-)
Thanks again for this great RABCK.
Cheers! :-)
