I don't really know why people read biographies. A good friend of mine adores them especially those of world leaders and people who have made significant contributions to the world. And I see him trying to incorporate certain aspects of those people in his own way of being. But I just don't get it. Needless to say biographies are not my cup of tea. It doesn't matter who you are. Give me your leadership, your invention, your music or your comedy, but I don't really need or want to know about your parents, who your friends are or even how you got to be where you are.

I suppose as biographies go this was a pretty good one. Some funny, some name dropping and some tender humanity. So if you love Canadian humour, and I do, and you're interested in the personal lives of people you will likely never meet but might aspire to be like this book will likely please you immensely.
