from the cover:
"THE LORD WON'T MIND is the completely honest and sensitive story of a young Princeton man named Charlie, and his beautiful friend Peter - their first meeting, their discovery of each other, and their turbulent, and happy, love affair in the dazzling, sophisticated worlds of theatre and publishing in New York. It is one of the most outspoken, graphic, and extraordinarily romantic novels of gay life ever written."

I have mixed feelings about this book. Charlie is mostly an abhorrent character, and Peter is too much of a doormat to stir any real interest. They certainly don't have what I would call a happy love affair in New York. I'm willing to stick with it because it's a trilogy, and because I'm hoping to see more out of these characters in the later books. Already by the end of this Peter has grown up a bit. Now we just have to wait for Charlie to catch up.
