Great Book. Enjoyed reading about the trials and tribulations of a mother not so keen on motherhood, who wants her life back; Sidda, mother's offspring, is struggling to deal with her past. Much more that a touchy-feely story of a mother and daughter. This book is much better than the movie, so if you've seen the movie, the book is still worth reading.

What a good book. Having grown up in the South it was wonderful to fall into the easy rythums of my childhood. I can taste the wonderful taste of Mayhaw jelly to this day and I haven't had any for 30 years.
