I got this cute little softcover from author Thurston's Etsy page (see it here), after reading about other of Thurston's affectionate "Doctor Who" parodies on the Epbot blog. The book's a tiny one, and while it never names the characters it's clear that this is the Eleventh Doctor, trying to convince Amy Pond to try his favorite snack. (Yes, there are echoes of Green Eggs and Ham here as well.)

Very simple, quite cute.

[I was amused to find that Alton Brown, who's as close to a real-life Doctor as we're likely to see, at least on the Food Network, has posted a recipe for "Fish Sticks with Custard" here. It includes a savory, dill-flavored custard, which sounds better with fish than a typical sweet-dessert kind, though one's mileage may vary!]

I left this book in the Return to Tradition #22: North Point Park geocache this afternoon. Hope the finder enjoys it!
