I got about half way through this. I admire Deborah Thorsos greatly for the way she's met the challenges in her life, but this book could have done with some better editing.
I bought this from a $2 rack outside of Twice Sold Tales. As I often say, you can find good and interesting books on these carts.

It was interesting to read the memoirs of a woman diagnosed with autism. She is roughly the same age as me and she grew up in the same geographic area in which I grew up. I found it interesting to read about her childhood. I recognized many of the dolls and toys that she described.
I was amazed at the author's detailed memory. I feel as though it gives us insight into the way an autistic person thinks. I think that the author had a difficult time summarizing or integrating all the details of her life. Details of very mundane things were given. Yet, I was impressed at the author's honesty and how hard she worked to overcome her disabilities.
