Welcome to my bookshelf.
Birthday and Christmas Wishlist: I have a lot of books on my wishlist but frankly I have a ginormous amount of books on Mount TBR. I would appreciate a book on my wishlist though and if you do send me one, I do promise to get around to reading it someday. If you live overseas, please don't mail me a book if the cost is exorbitant. I no longer mail books overseas because the prices are ridiculously high.
There are a lot of things that I like. I have always loved cats but now I love dogs because I have a fantastic little dog who has stolen my heart. I still have a beautiful young tabby-cat who is quirky and lovable. (The original tabby cat is no longer with me.) I also like birds, mountains, the seashore, flowers, vintage things, antiques, little things, handmade things, and the colors blue and green. I love chocolate, marzipan, cake and ice cream. My slogan is "dessert first".
I am a member of the 1001-library. The 1001-library is a bookcrossing bookshelf named 1001-library. It contains books from the list, "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die". If you want to find out more about the 1001-library, please look at the bookshelf, 1001-library.
I have the following 1001-library books in my possession and I would be happy to mail them to a 1001-library member:
Fathers and Sons by Ivan Turgenev, Joseph in Egypt by Thomas Mann, Joseph the Provider by Thomas Mann, Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy, Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset, Ragtime by E.L. Doctorow, Regeneration by Pat Barker, Sons and Lovers by D. H. Lawrence, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon, The Captive (Remembrance of Things Past, Book 5) by Marcel Proust, The Confessions by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, The Ghost Road by Pat Barker, The Man without Qualities (Vol. III) by Robert Musil, The Vicar of Wakefield by Oliver Goldsmith, Therese Raquin by Emile Zola
Personal Challenge: To increase the number of countries where my bookcrossing books have traveled. The books must be registered on bookcrossing by me. If you are interested in reading about how my books got there, please look at "Tabby-cat-owner's Around-the-World-personal challenge parts 1-3" on my bookshelf. They are part of my permanent collection.
