No Second Chance

I had to read this book pretty quick because it is on Perfect-Circle's wish list and I am her NSSEB! Luckily, this book was already on my bookshelf having bought it in January! I managed to read it, off and on, in about 5 days.
Mark Seidman is a Doctor/plastic surgeon and he is traumatised when he wakes up in hospital, after an attempted murder, to discover that his wife has been murdered and his baby daughter disappeared. A ransome demand is eventually made and Doctor Seidman makes his way to the designated place to drop the money and get his daughter back. Of course, nothing ever goes as planned! Without going into too much further detail he eventually enlists the aid of an ex-FBI Agent (who happens to be an ex-girlfriend) and together they investigate the events leading up to the kidnapping and murders and attempt to find the killers themselves. It's an interesting story and very fast paced. I also guessed pretty early on one of the people involved although things are not quite as they initially appear to be!

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Unlike MoJeDenUK, I didn't figure any of it out correctly and the story was enough to keep me going until the last page.
Will be offering up as a ring on bcuk in the very near future
