Though I liked this book better than the first one in the series. I don't plan to continue with this series. Snakes are brought up way to often for someone like me with a fear of snakes. I guess it is just an Africa thing. RESERVED AS PART OF THE ALPHABET BOOK RING-"T" ENTRY

I received this as part of iwillrejoice's ABC Bookring – Books Beginning with the Letter T. Can’t wait to read it!

The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency is based in Gaborone, Botswana. We are introduced to Mma Ramotswe and her new fiancé Mr J.L.B. Matekoni. Both believe in the traditional values, respect and responsibility. Mma is approached by an American woman to find out what happened to her son 10 years ago. She doesn’t believe that he is alive, she simply wants closure.

The “mystery” itself didn’t have a lot of twists and turns. However, I enjoyed this book based on the moral fiber that runs through it. Also, I enjoyed the inner dialogue of Mr J.L.B. Matekoni and how he wants to ensure he makes a good husband for Mma.
