(2012#19) Have just read 'The Happy Prince', and allowing for it first being written with four other stories around 1888, the style was certainly individual.
Whatever I've read by Oscar Wilde was long ago, and going by this 'fairy story' which didn't have a happy ending, I don't think fairy stories were his forte.
Perhaps the others will be more enjoyable.
