The Bradford Pears are only for decoration (I know...what a waste). But I have a container dwarf pear at work that bears nice firm fruit, and I think it's blossoms are much nicer than the ones on those 'fake' trees :o)

I use them as the inside wrapper for books I mail to others. While the magazines are still fresh, I take them to work and leave them in the break room as well as the WC :o)
