Dickens was okay, I enjoyed his stories.... but I thought The Great Gatsby to be tedious and meaningless. I love Walter Mosely also and believe he would make a better choice of "literature" than some others.

I admit that I am woefully underread in this area as well. I did read "The Old Man and The Sea" and found it completely uninteresting and boring. I think that critics are to blame for what is literature and what isn't.…

Another book that needs persevering is "A Confederacy of Dunces" It was tough going but worth it in the end. I almost gave up on it several times.

oh, I agree.... I get lost in the stories.... I think any REAL reader would have difficulty analyzing the book. Especially if its a well-written one!

I've gotten hooked on Dunkin' Donuts Iced coffee - I mix the toasted almond with coconut, one sweet and low and add my own creamer when I get to work. Otherwise - extra light w/cream, not milk and one sweet and low.
