It's a good overview of all sorts of traditions and practices. I would also second the recommendations for The Spiral Dance and the Scott Cunningham books.

it has several characters POV but I'm finding it easy to keep track because they are all quite different. An interesting thing is that each character has their own font so each chapter looks a little bit different.
