how spooky that i spotted this thread, i was recommended this book by a friend and thought i would look up peoples journals on BC to see what they have said about it, will definately see if i can get a copy !!!

Is it me, or has anyone else found this book hard to get into ? wanted to read book before watching the film but at this rate i think the film first may win !! Is it worth persevering ??

Have now got The Butterfly Lion which sounds brilliant and Kensukes Kingdom to read, i have really got into these books, it is so nice to see so many others enjoying his books !

It is supposed to be aimed at children probably age from about 10 but i feel it would be more appreciated by teenagers and adults.

Hi I have one right in front of me now as we are veggies, it's What's Cooking Vegetarian by Jenny Stacey, it has lovely pics and easy to follow !

Hi I have been told the books by Phillip Pullmann are good, starting with The Northern Lights, I have not read any yet but have Northern Lights ready to start reading !!
