Most of the shows nominated I had never seen since I don't have HBO or any of the like, although I do pay through the nose for the my cable service. Some of those past mini series were excellent and greatly missed.

Actually I am in the US and would definitley prefer the styles you are speaking of . I think for alot of people the clothing in the store especially is a little to garishly BC.
